Opening Reception Friday September 9th 5:30pm - 8pm
Excerpted from the PAL call for artists:
From its earliest days, the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto has been an essential community gathering place to view, contemplate and practice the arts. PAL embraces the full spectrum of artistic media and strives to offer unique, high-quality educational programs to a diverse audience. In its 95th year, we take the opportunity to honor our accomplishments and celebrate past and present impact in the community. This exhibition seeks to present the work of over 100 artists, to give full treatment to the blossoming artistic production that regenerates our organization with each exhibition and each semester.
The Pacific Art League is a living community, recreated every day in classes with renowned instructors, in monthly exhibitions developing artistic careers, and in the annual fundraising initiatives that keep PAL thriving. Our work begins, flourishes, and continues through artists. Our exhibitions, classes and workshops harbor the novice branching into new realms of self-development. Our gallery cultivates relationships with collectors with an ear to the ground in the Bay Area art world. Exhibiting artists in this show join a community of fellow artists to support the mission of the Pacific Art League: to advance the expression, appreciation and enjoymen of the arts.
This promises to be a beautiful show. "My Little Red Bridge" was selected to be on the promotional images for the show and will be there if you haven't had a chance to see this one in person yet.
