Using liquid acrylics and square brushes, I paint in the rarely used technique popularized by Seurat, pointillism. My focus is "nature" as that is what always seems to inspire me to paint. It takes me back to the days of my childhood, running around barefoot at the foot of the mountain in Tennessee.
Seurat proposed colors aren’t singular; they exist based on what they are being compared to. A red next to a warm yellow might look cool, but that same red next to a cool blue might look warm. So then… what is red? To create and discover simultaneously with this comparison balancing act is wondrous and exciting.
