When was the last time you took a moment to lie down and watch the sky?
In cropping of cloud images taken during a sunset catamaran cruise, I discovered a way to paint clouds realistically, but in such a way as the viewer might read them as abstract.
Basically, if the horizon line is not there to give a reference of space, the identity of the clouds becomes obscured.
I wonder if this is why we are defined by what and who we are surrounded by? When we take away those visible tethers, who are we really?
